Successfully guiding a transaction for middle-market companies requires precise execution and deep industry knowledge. To further support these complex transactions, Walden M&A recently welcomed three talented professionals to our advisory roster: Bill DiMaio, Nick Manning, and Jack Quisito.
These strategic additions open a dedicated healthcare vertical and establish a highly focused analytics group. Expanding the team’s capabilities directly translates into more competitive processes and higher valuations for business owners working with Walden M&A on their transactions.
Opening a New Healthcare Industry Vertical
The healthcare sector presents unique regulatory and operational complexities, requiring specialized knowledge during a transaction. Bill DiMaio joins Walden M&A, bringing an extensive strategic background, having worked in key roles for organizations including Kaiser Permanente, UCB, and the nonprofit City of Hope. His arrival officially opens a new industry vertical for the firm.
“The healthcare sector involves unique regulatory requirements and specialized financial metrics,” says John Phillips, Walden M&A President & CEO. “Bill brings a deep understanding of these nuances, allowing us to serve healthcare business owners with unmatched precision.”
Healthcare services and life sciences continue experiencing significant consolidation with buyers actively seeking well-managed, middle-market companies across this space. DiMaio understands exactly how healthcare acquirers evaluate targets, allowing Walden to position clients perfectly for strategic buyers and private equity investors.
Elevating Exit Planning Strategies
In addition to his sector-specific knowledge, DiMaio is a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA). This specialized education broadens the team’s overall advisory capabilities, helping business owners evaluate strategic alternatives and build enterprise value long before initiating a formal sales process.
“Early preparation significantly impacts the final valuation of a company,” says Phillips. “Bill’s education and experience in exit planning give our clients a distinct advantage months before a formal search begins.”
When owners engage advisors early, they transform a reactive sale into a prepared, highly attractive opportunity for acquirers. DiMaio helps founders identify operational vulnerabilities and correct them prior to entering the market.
Scaling Deal Execution Capacity
Executing a successful M&A strategy requires comprehensive management across the full lifecycle of a transaction. To elevate this critical function, Walden M&A formed a dedicated deal execution group led by new team members Nick Manning and Jack Quisito.
This new group covers every phase of a transaction, from origination to closing. Manning brings discipline and leadership to these intensive process requirements, having served in the Armed Forces as Captain from 2017 to 2024 before earning his Master of Business Administration from Emory University. Working alongside him is Quisito, a recent University of Georgia graduate with a degree in Real Estate and Finance, who transitions into a full-time role after serving as Walden’s summer 2025 intern.
Together, Manning and Quisito manage the critical quantitative and qualitative requirements of each engagement. Their work provides the analytical rigor necessary to position companies attractively to the market, from initial sector research and buyer universe identification to sophisticated financial modeling.
By driving process management and coordinating complex due diligence workstreams, this group ensures seamless deal momentum through closing. This dedicated focus allows the firm to maintain high-touch advocacy and strategic negotiation support for every client throughout the transaction lifecycle.
The true value of adding Manning and Quisito lies in scaling Walden M&A’s capacity to run more deals concurrently without sacrificing quality. “Having a robust deal team handling financial modeling and due diligence allows our principals to spend their time on origination and client relationships,” says Samantha Jones, Vice President at Walden M&A.
Driving Highly Competitive Processes for Clients
The ultimate goal of expanding the Walden M&A team is to drive more competitive processes for founder- and family-owned businesses. The combination of specialized industry experts like DiMaio and a dedicated analytics group led by Manning and Quisito creates a powerful framework for transaction success.
With enhanced analytical capacity and expanded industry coverage, the Walden M&A team engages multiple qualified buyers & sellers simultaneously. This targeted approach increases deal outcomes, often leading to higher valuations, better deal terms, and a higher probability of a successful closing.
By expanding our advisory team and enhancing our internal capabilities, Walden M&A remains fully committed to helping business owners craft the exit they desire to start their next chapter confidently or grow through precise and strategic acquisitions.
